If you want to be leaner, bigger, faster, or more explosive you need to be stronger.  There is no way around it.  To be blunt, I don’t believe in traditional cardio and I’m not too fond of caloric restriction.  We have been told for years that we have to do obscene amounts of cardiovascular activity and starve ourselves to get the body we want.  The truth is that this mindset has actually done more harm than good.  The foundation for success is laid in resistance training, clean eating, and the occasional sprint work.  They key is in its application, that’s where I come in.

..bluntly tell a client “running is bad for you, eat more and lift heavy.”   Due to this unapologetic and straightforward approach, I tend to draw in a certain clientele.  The majority of my clients either have goals for better athletic performance or simply (and unapologetically ) want to look so good their clothes do them a disservice.  Throughout the process of training clients to a better physique, many have seen staggering decreases in their blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels.  Not to mention dramatic improvements to their range of motion and quality of life.  Not a bad little bonus.

I had worked at large health clubs, small 24 hour facilities, and had even done some in-home personal training.  Throughout my experience in the personal training field I have had the opportunity to train many elite athletes including a former first round NBA draft pick, the second youngest professional soccer player ever drafted, an Olympic level snowboarder, and several NHL hopefuls.  I have also continually developed and re-crafted my coaching style.  Initially buying into the industry norms, I have now taken it upon myself to develop and use a better brand of personal training.
