..youth sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, track and field), but my athletic journey truly started when I began practicing competitive martial arts in 1991. My training included a wide variety of movement, breathing, and conditioning drills designed to enhance performance. I medaled in 3 of 4 divisions at the 2002 Midwest Submission Hunt.

..and a little bad luck, I accumulated a long list of injuries that resulted in chronic pain and partial disability. I stopped training to focus entirely on recovery. In my rehab process, I learned the benefits of combining chiropractic and massage therapy, but I did not fully recover until I experienced the benefits of corrective exercise. In a few months, I was pain-free and had dropped over 20 pounds, an experience that inspired me to switch careers.

..personal training and group fitness instruction since 2004, with clients ranging from youth athletes (13+) to geriatric clients (85+) and everyone in between. I am well known for my expertise working with a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and complex medical issues, and have trained patients referred by medical doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists. I have also worked with professional and elite amateur athletes, musicians, and stage performers, providing corrective exercise and performance enhancement services.

..and am co-owner of Keep In Touch Massage of Eagan, a premier local massage center. I am the President of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) Sports Massage Team, and I work with athletes and elite athletes at Grandma’s Marathon, the Twin Cities Marathon, Lakeville Ironman Bicycle Ride, the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon, the Get In Gear 2k/5k/10k/Half Marathon, and many other events.
